UGANDA: SHEA BUTTER FACTORY CONSTRUCTION IS IN NAKASONGOLA, SUCH MARGINALIZATION BEFITS OLIGARCHY REGIME.

The north-Eastern Uganda suffered in the NRM government not because they hate National Resistance Movement government. But, there is hidden agenda to deny them national cakes.

KAMPALA-UGANDA, The government of Uganda has decided to takes Shea batter factory to Central Uganda, Nokasongola while giving it the term central of Uganda, despite the fact that Shea trees is grown in Acholi, West Nile, Lango and Teso Sub Regions.

Greetings to you members, I trust all is well. I would like to share this; from my ears along the economic corridor of this Country, Shea factory is being constructed in Nakasongola, I am wondering why government is thinking of doing that.

For over 10 years after Northern Uganda conflict, the Government of Uganda iused oder from above to cleared million of Shea Butter trees in war affected areas

One, this is a national cake, it is meant to add value to the raw material for better marketing, two to create employment to first, the area then to the whole country looking at decentralization system of governance.

So in this development why put up that facility in Nakasongola, while giving it the term central of Uganda surely to me it does not does not make sense.

We all know Shea trees are mainly found along Teso, Lango, Acholi, and West Nile belt ( God given) but I also know some people have started growing them in the Western region,to me priority should have been given North or Teso region.

shea butter the most used oil for both domestic uses and and for beautification

In a democratic country majority takes the uppet hand in decision making.

Government should consult widely so that any decision made is owned and accepted by community affected, let us look UDC, many factories constructed by government any how, how is it doing without mentioning any particular one.

There are quite a number of private sectors that already into Shea products production, where do government leave them, how about the current harvesters where are they in all this.

This shea seed, hold by Acholi mother form Northern Uganda

Partners who are involve in this have they consider that the factory may not be fully utilised like others in the long run!!  So I kindly request our MPs, Local governments of the affected community to talk about this.

We in the North have not said anything done else where in the country that we know God did not give us, and why this one. There are many unbalanced economic development in this Country. That is why things happen the way they are. My making. Thank you
