His supporters lined up 7 kilometer to Kampala await his freedom welcome with big bang, while the like of President Museveni critics including Hon Maria Matembe the former MP for Mbarara District, Kassanda North MP, Patrick Nsamba, Kasambya County MP. Gafa Mbwatekamwe were the sureties.

Court fixed May 23 as the date for the hearing of his case. However Court that was conducted under video conferencing barred him from holding unlawful demonstrations because such activities would lead to the cancellation of his bail.
