All along, I have been going through the night in fear, as marauding goons threaten my life. For years, I have been thinking about who the people are who are making my life difficult; the real Cobra came out.

On Tuesday, September 16, at about 10:00 PM, I was sitting at Mukungo Caro, on the edge of Acholi Road opposite Pece Stadium being constructed, and Col. Obura Kidega, the Deputy UPDF4th Division Commander, came, and two half Whiskey bottle. Later, as I was moving, he ordered his bodyguard to shoot me if I stood up.
The attempt to stop him to back down not to shoot me fell on deaf ears when Kalbin Okene tried and pleaded with him. Also, Aludi, the Director of Caritas, tried to stop him; they all failed and walked away in disappointment.
I sat down watching how the even unfolding, when his bodyguard held me at gunpoint for 20 minutes; later on asked him May I now go, he said you can go.
I walked out from the dungeon of the orchestrated murder trap. The following day, on Wednesday, September 17, I reported the matter to Gulu Central Police Station, recorded my statement, but the police failed to give an SD reference Number.
In my life, I have never interacted with Col Obura Kidega, nor have I been born with him, but during my short stay with him, he has boxed one person, the Chief Accountant of St. Mary Hospital Lacor, but he allows him to walk and go.
However, one thing which I have noted, he was saying Awod Payira; he is from Payira chiefdom.
Our home is in Bolo, Awere Sub County, where half of the community who live in Bolo are the Payira people. Col. Obura Kidega wants to cause a massacre because he killed, and he his from Payira. (Sic).
I have talked to my brother Odongkara Mike, who is a resident of Toronto; he was very surprised to hear that Col. Obura Kidega, who is a family brother to him, put me at gunpoint.
“My father, Kainan Otim, paid school fees for Kidega.”
Should anything happen to me, those are the hallmark of individuals’ misuse of power.
I have forgiven him for all misdeeds; the attempt to contact him to get his side has failed.
