UGANDA: BALAALO EVICTION NEW TACTIC EMERGES AS CATTLE KEEPERS DROPPED STICKS, DAWNED UGANDA PEOPLE’S DEFENSE FORCES (UPDF) UNIFORM

Betty Ocwee, 38 years old. The front runner of Acholi mission to kick Balaalo from Acholi land under the chord name, “Balaalo must go.” went and led a group of youths that desened to dismantle the Balaalo fences in Palaro Mede Sub County. the Balaalo heaven.”
Ocwee and his team were arrested while on their way back to Gulu City, they entered in an UPDF ambush which was erected just to catch them. They were taken to Awal Aboro, Palaro Lugore UPDF barrack where they were transferred to Gulu UPDF4th Division and dumped in a military cell.

Opwonya revealed to the Black Star News, that when Palaro chief was addressing his subjects, Balaalo all of them never attained the Palaro chief called meeting, narrating that the mood of people were so enraged that any groups of Balaalo would have dared to attain. the community would have to lynch them.
Contrary to Opiyo Atiker, Chairman Gulu District Local Government boss, who two months ago told President Museveni that for them, they are living peacefully with the Balaalo cattle keepers in Palaro chiefdom.
Owonya adds that while they were coming back after their mission, they carried out cutting Balaalo fences, while on the way they got the same members of the Balaalo whom they destroyed their fences, now minding roadblock, those are the guys, dawning UPDF army uniform.
“We were told, after our arrest, that we told you that even if you go and report us to the police station, or UPDF officers you will get us there. Are you now not in our hand.” the UPDF after arresting them taunted them. Opwony gives his narrative from Burcoro police station.
Opwonya and his other four victims were arraigned before Uganda Legislators Betty Aol Ocan, the Women MP for Gulu City, and Amos Okot, the Agago North MP outside police cell Burcoro.
Opwonya accompanied victims of Balaalo arrested are: Onencan Andrew 18 years old, Okello Francis 32 years old Alila Martin 32 years old. all encounter how they were first arrested and taken to Awal Aboro UPDF barrack in Palaro Lugore and mock.
Owpnya’s mother also dropped from Gulu City, after learning that her son was arrested and taken to Burcoro Police Station. She bought food for them. sobber mood, later tears rolled down her cheek and disappeared.

Betty Aol, the Women MP for Gulu City at around 11.30 AM stormed Northern Uganda Media Club, NUMEC. with her counterpart Okot Amos, the Agago North MP. The condemned UPDF arrests of the groups of Balaalo must go.
Betty Aol, in her Media address says, we the MPs from Acholi Sub Region, we condemned the burital arrest of our groups which were apprehended in the ambush by UPDF, while on the way to Gulu City.
“I want to tell you Members of NorthernUganda Media Club that the groups of Balaalo must go led by Betty Ocwee was arrested yesterday, and we have looked for them in all the police station within Gulu City, including UPDF, Gulu 4th UPDF barrack, but we have not found them.” The Women MP for Gulu City Betty Aol Ocan decries.
Okot Amose, the MP for Agago North. equally castigated UPDF officers for carrying out abituray arrest of the members of “Balaalo must go” the order came from Lt, Gen. Charles Otema Awany, the Reserved Commander of UPDF.
“I want to appeal to you journalists who are members of Northern Uganda Club, that we have learned with dismay that Lt. Gen. Otema AWANY is behind the arrest of the Balaalo campaign yesterday in the Ambush put by the Balaalo who dawned UPDF army uniform. ” Okot Amose mooted.
Lt. Gen. Otema Awany, downplayed the alleged accusation eminates from Betty Aol Ocan, the Women MP for Gulu City and her counterpart Amos Okot, the Agago North MP. says he does not condon impunity, she has learned from social media about the arrest.
“I disassociate myself from the accusation leveled against him, those are unfounded baseless accusations.”Gen. Otema reiterated
