UGANDA:   I TAKE MY VOTE FOR SPEAKERSHIP TO MPS IN PARLIAMENT-NORBERT MAO

The speakership contest is far not far to settled, Anita Among retained by National Resistance Movement Central Committee, the NRM endorsed Anita Among for speakership.

I am being confronted by Ofondo Opondo, Anita Among campaign spokesperson, who has been sent by NRM to abuses me, for those whose politics id for eating, they can says and depend on eating for you Ofondo Opondo who have grown in home, you know in African setting when the visitor come, you can be told to  leave the bed.

Norbert Mao, the MP elect for Gulu City Laroo-Pece City Division, the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs outsmart the former NRM spokesperson Ofondo Opondo in the NBS Tev, the front-line political talks show pinning them that his case for speakership is before 12^th August house, not just rubber stamp endorsement.

“I am wanting to thank the newly elected Members of Parliament for the 12^th Parliament for the Eastern Uganda Hon. Ofondo Opondo, in order to be respected, I am happy that the Members of the 12^th Parliament have respect. It not about me Norbert Mao, I am not the members of NRM, the NRM invited me in 2021 to join their Cabinet, I respected.” Norbert Mao stressed.

This letter for endorsing Anita Among shows that I am been rejected by the 12^th Parliament, I cannot debate this letter. In 1986 Dr. Paul Ssemogerere and the NRM made gentlemen agreement. My hope is members of parliament need fixing, the Uganda Airline has been a problem, but has been fixed by Ethiopian, I am fixing it as an Ethiopian.

Patrick Wakida, the NRM blue boy, rejected Mao flea, reasoning power if fourth for public, Norbert Mao is not an NRM members of parliament, he cannot attend NRM Caucus meeting.

“When you are invited to wedding party, you are given cake, you cannot be groom mate.” Patrick Wakida warned

Mathias Mupunga, the former Leader of Opposition in the 11^th Parliament taunted Norbert Mao, argued Norbert Mao want to fix the roof without foundation, the issues is I look at the next parliament, the way the manner is, it has been constituted, and Hon. Mao is classical. Norbert Mao and Democratic Party DP, who is the presidential General, the NRM Cabinet Minister he wants to fix the roof without foundation. Does he have numbers of DP he can measure with the NRM 400 MPs; you are only offering.

Hon. Patrick Wakida argued the speaker Anita Among has been around, the DP I know her when we were in Forum for Democratic Forum (FDC),

Hon. Norbert Mao argued that you cannot have table for 40 years with the plates. This is the NRM can take all reality, can they take over the government with only 27 guns. Told Ofondo Opondo you can give all the lecture about reality.

“For those whose politics for eating, they can say and depend on eating. For you who have grown in Home when the visitor come, you can be told to leave bed for visitor to sleep.” Hon. Norbert Mao warned.

He gave narrative that in 1996, it was Dr. Ssemogerere who walked away from the cooperation agreement, but not me Norbert Mao who walking away. I have told you that I have written to National Chairman of the NRM, I am going to write to the 12^th parliament. I have served the ministry and served faithfully.

The issues I am raising about accountability, I don’t know the cooperation agreement, Hon Norbert Mao want because the NRM want to maintain power Ofondo Opondo sarcastically sort back.

Hon. Norbert Mao answer back, my hope is on MPs, Ofondo Opondo is spokesperson for the members of Speaker. All the Bishops and the Pope are all sinner, we want all the people in Uganda to come together rather than pushing people away.

The Bible says the Heaven and Earth will pass, if there is abuses of Human Rights happened in Uganda during January 15, parliamentary and Presidential election, I am the Inspector General of Uganda Police. Is Norbert Mao responsible?

“What I am saying the Uganda Police Forces and the parliament, what I am saying the parliament need fixing.” Mao insisted.

Hon. Ofondo Opondo argued that what is important is to have mechanism for the parliament. “I THINK Anita Among has learned.” Ofondo Opondo pin her boss Anita Among the 11^th Speaker of Parliament.

Anita Among, is believed alleged to be one of the most corrupt Speaker of Parliament, she is oozing billions of cash, and since her tuner as the 11^th speakers of Parliament she has been selecting few MPs to go out for official duty. And she has been sanctioning not to travel.

She is the only private citizen who own private national stadium and National private hospital and in addition she owns one of the most powerful secondary schools in Bukedia District her hometown in Eastern Uganda.

Hon. Mathais Mupunga reasoned that now we have learned that you get way with money, Ofondo Opondo was saying, NRM has legal rights to use their numbers to have speaker, if you fail to have faire election, when the Biometric voting Machine failed to work. During January 15, election. Do you have winner and looser.

Norbert Mao refused to discuss the issues, says let us discuss the bigger issues, the Cabinet has summoned me to make a statement of the failure of the Biometric voting Machine, I will not answer that.

Norbert Mao stressed the bigger issues is now speaker election or appointment cannot make.

Hon Mupuga stated clearly challenging Ofondo Opondo, asserting do you ask yourself who is being Norbert Mao?  I have no doubt about Hon. Norbert Mao, speakership, when he has been given speakership, he will do and management the 12^th parliament.

To some political commentator, the entry of Norbert Mao will legitimize the NRM regime after rigging the January 15, parliamentary and President Election, where ballots boxes is reported by NUP party President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine that there was no election in Western Uganda, where UPDF stuffed ballots boxes and they chased away all the voters.

Norbert Mao is tested resilient leader for the last 37 years he has been at realm of Uganda opposition party; he has been the voices of the voice less and marginalize Ugandans opposition party.

Hon Norbert Mao is seen has an inner kitchen Museveni cabinet minister, to many Uganda who doubt his political Engineering, will take a back. For the last 15 years he has been Presidential General of DP, he was back during DP election which took place in Mbarara.

Norbert Mao allegedly accused Anita Among of being behind the demise of the late Jacob Oulanyah his close personal friend, he also accused Anita Among of failing to management the 11^th Parliament. Mao told his voters in Gulu City that he was sent by President Museveni.
