KENYA-IEBC CHAIRMAN ANNUOCRF WILLIAM RUTO RIGGED R

Raila heading to High Court of Spplea

Let Dear Kenyans,

This evening, our Nation faces a grave crisis, tantamount to a threat to national security. Over the past year, Kenya has undergone an electioneering period in which candidates shared their vision and hopes for Kenyans. That proc ess was largely peaceful and exemplified the maturing nature of our democracy. However, on August the 9th, balloting day, when millions of Kenyans turned out to cast their ballots, the exercise was viewed as valid.

However, when the results begun streaming in, we noticed a number of irregularities and election malpractices, some of which with likelihood of affecting the credibility of the electoral process.

More importantly,
When the transmission and tallying of the results started on August the 9th, we noticed immediate questions that have not been answered. Key among them was the opacity and lack of transparency with which Chairman Wafula Chebukati of the IEBC conducted the commissions business.
We, the commissioners assembled here, who constitute the majority of the commission have decided to speak up because our conscience cannot allow us to validate a flawed process.
Mr. Chebukati has kept us from accessing any significant information about the Presidential election results and in particular the tallying of those results. So, we have not been involved at all in verifying the data that is being uploaded into the IEBC systems.

This afternoon, Mr. Chebukati appeared before the commission and presented us with figures and statistics about the vote count that we had not seen or participated in their production. We engaged him in a candid conversation about the manner and the process by which these figures were arrived. Mr. Chebukati could not answer our questions. His actions are tantamount to the disenfranchisement of the Commisioners whose responsibility it is to conduct this election. He has excluded us from the most important decisions of the process including in particular the tallying and upload of the results.

The results that Mr. Chebukati presented to us, lacks all merit, validity or credibility, these are numbers he made up in his own house.
We the majority of the commission, totally reject the results as totally invalid and lacking in merit and we call upon Kenyans, to likewise demand, that Mr. Chebukati be relieved of his duties as Chairman of the IEBC Commission with immediate effect.

It is not up to us to decide whether Mr. Chebukati has committed a crime but we have lost all confidence of Mr. Chebukati as Chairman of the commission and that’s why we demand he be removed with immediate effect, so that the work of the commission can be continued.τ uni
