UGANDA: EARLY MULTIPRACTIC CITED IN OMORO DISTRICT ELECTION

By midnight  the agent of an Independent aspirant candidate Andrew OKO Obibi cited two ballots box being delivery in Aremo Sub County, and the hunt for that ballot box are being peruse.

OMORO DISTRICT-JANUARY 22, 2026.

Feared of election multiproteic engulf Omoro District, as the camp of Andrew Okot aka Obibii  polling agents in Aremo Sub County found one empty ballot box in the morning today, Thursday 22, at the polling station at St. Thomas primary school, in Minikalu village.

Adong Unice confidently told our Correspondent that today when we came here at St Thomas Primary school, we found one voting box marital, without ballot paper. we took it to Aremo Sub County where we handed it to Sub County Chief.

When we visited Aremo Sub County office, the Sub County Chief was not present for comment neither the office Assistant.

the report gathered from other Kulu Otit polling station indicated that more two ballots box was dropped by Hon. Okello Okao, the incumbent Omoro District Chairman, and later what fuel more suspicion that the election malpractice is being engineer, at around 11:00AM one military vehicle came to St Thomas Primary school, with a numbers of UPDF and in the vehicle ballots box is one of the item.

Andrew Okot Obibii, rust to Lakwana Sub County in morning hours before casting his vote, he told our Correspondent that one of his agent inform him that rigging has began.

The hot spots where election rigging is being reported are Aremo Sub County, Lakwaya Sab County, Labora Sub County, and Odek Sub County.

In Gulu City, election is peacefully being conducted, although two aspirants Mayor Alfred Okwaonga and Julius Labeja Gulnya, the heading to next next race, both are contesting for Gulu City mayor.
